My Five Favourites

My Five Favourites

Hi there! Did you have a good weekend?

We got quite a lot done on the home front this weekend so I’m feeling on top of my to-do list right now. Lists FTW! Getting ready for summer living makes me so happy. We’ve still got a way to go, but I’ve set up an action plan now so things are looking good.  I’m so looking forward to the warm, sunny season!

And here are My Five Favourites that I wanted to share with you this week…

Besides getting chores done, we also binged watched Modern Love on Amazon Prime this weekend and wow! is that series amazing. My husband and I both loved it and were pleasantly surprised at the depth of content and how beautifully each episode was put together.

Season 1 consists of 8 episodes that are based on true stories. The acting is superb, with both well-known actors and a few new names who were just brilliant. I highly recommend watching this series. So happy to hear that there’ll be another season coming out.

App Recommendations

I found another brain training app that I’m enjoying – it’s called Elevate. It really challenges my maths and numeric abilities, but I feel that the more I do it, the more my brain stays engaged – which is what this is all about, isn’t it. Give it a go and let me know what you think.

Book Recommendation

My book list is growing ever longer! I recently read several recommendations about a book called Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. I don’t know too much about this book (except that it comes highly recommended by many), but it’s a family saga about the lives of twin boys who are orphaned at birth (their mother dies in childbirth and their father disappears). The book follows their lives into adulthood and sounds fascinating. On my list.

My Five Favourites

I follow an account called Know This Mind which features a diverse range of photos that are all pretty captivating and highly interesting for various reason. Very entertaining account.

My Five Favourites

I recently listened to a podcast episode called How to Address Midlife Weight Gain Related to Menopause. This episode deals with how we gain weight but struggle to drop those extra kilos during this time of our lives. Interesting topic.

I hope you find something you enjoy in My Five Favourites today!
