Hi there! Did you all have a fun weekend?
We went to some friends for dinner on Saturday night and it was so lovely to catch up with them again. And on Sunday night we went to a Deacon Blue concert in the city which was such a lot of fun! (Check out my Instagram Story music highlights.) There’s something very special about listening to music from your youth, isn’t there? And I’d forgotten how fantastic that band’s songs are.
We also put up our Christmas tree – with Christmas music playing in the background, of course. Thanks, Spotify. I love putting up the tree and decorating the house for Christmas! How about you? Or do you have seasonal stress and need some downtime already? In that case, here are…
My Five Favourites for this week…
This movie tells the story about Frank Sheeran (the Irishman) and how he became involved with a crime family in Pennsylvania in the 1950s. There are so many big names in this epic movie by Martin Scorsese. We really enjoyed this one.
Just recently I downloaded the BlockuDoku app and omg, I’m hooked. It’s such a satisfying game to play. I’m sorry if you try it and also become hooked because it’s incredibly addictive! You’ve been warned!
I just finished reading Trick Mirror: Reflections on Self-Delusion by Jia Tolentino (I’ve been playing too many games on my phone and not reading, apparently). And I’ve now downloaded The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes. (Aff link.) Has anyone already read this one? Did you enjoy it?
Mignonette Takes Pictures – This account has such interesting and different posts! And is a breath of fresh air, so I’m loving this one.
8 Top Tips For More Midlife Travel – I enjoyed this episode about travel during midlife. Travelling is something that my husband and I want to do more of as we’re getting older. We find that sometimes it’s difficult to get a trip planned (for various reasons), but whenever we do, we enjoy it so much and realise that it’s something that we want to prioritise in our future.
I hope you find something you enjoy in My Five Favourites today!
