Luscious loungewear is the only thing I want to wear right now

loungewear
I’ve become one of those people bemoaning uncomfortable clothing now that I’m spending more time at home (and eating more snacks than usual). Because tight jeans that cut into my muffin-top while I’m working on my laptop or sitting on the sofa watching Netflix just isn’t doing it for me anymore.

Now just to clarify – I am not talking about sleepwear in this post because I already wrote about that over here. Today, I’m talking about loungewear. (Also, do not fear, I haven’t totally given up, this is stylish loungewear I’m talking about here.)

According to Merriam-Webster, loungewear is:

informal clothing usually designed to be worn at home.

And Collins defines it as:

casual and comfortable clothes suitable for lounging.

So yes, technically we could be talking beautiful, comfy sleepwear, but today I’m going to be focussing on comfortable daytime clothing.  Essentially, sweatshirts, tees and leggings – all in supersoft fabrics – that you could wear when going out but probably wouldn’t. (But no judgement if you do.) These are pieces that I sometimes refer to as stylish sloth-wear.

Loungewear is the best

For me, loungewear has to be soft, slouchy and super comfortable. And I reckon wrapping ourselves in clothing that is beautifully soft is exactly what we all need during this pandemic. Because we can all benefit from wearing clothes that make us feels like we’re being hugged. It’s almost a form of self-care, isn’t it?

Look after yourselves however you can out there, my friends.
