Bits and Bobs #9

Bits and Bobs

Hi. How are you? Ready for a few Bits and Bobs?

I’ve been super busy this week – getting my son’s gear organised for his school camp and getting myself prepped and packed for my trip.

There always seems to be so much to sort out before going away! Do you feel the same way? I’ve had to order some medication for my dog, stock up on contact lenses for myself and sort out a few other bits and bobs before I leave. And I don’t know about you, but I find that writing a to-do list really helps me to alleviate some of the inevitable stress that comes with going away on trips. It definitely helps me to feel more in control.

I’ve also downloaded a couple of books to read while I’m away and I’m so looking forward to reading on a sunlounger again. We don’t often travel in October, so it feels a bit weird to be flying off at this time of the year. But I’m so excited to have this opportunity to enjoy a bit of warmth before our New Zealand summer gets here.

And before I go, here are my Bits and Bobs for this week – Happy Reading!

  1. ‘No cream can reverse ageing’ – sadly! But some do more than others. Great article.
  2. Important article – 12 things an academic advisor wants parents of college students to know. Find out how you can be supportive without being a lawnmower or helicopter parent.
  3. Why do so many middle-aged men feel so lonely? Here’s one for the men or maybe to help the wives out there.
  4. “Older people are ignored and distorted in ageist marketing, report finds.” And because people are aware of this now, hopefully, things will continue to improve for us on this front.
  5. To dye, or not to dye. That is the question. Check out these 30 women who stopped dyeing their hair.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. x
