My Five Favourites

My Five Favourites

Hi there! How was your weekend?

I’m away on a girls’ trip at the moment – having a fantastic and super-relaxing time with my girlfriends. Koh Samui is gorgeous and we’ve seen quite a bit of the island already. The temples here are beautiful! And we’ve had a good few swims in the sea which has been AMAZING. The water is so warm and the most stunning colour.

And before I go off to sip my glass of bubbles and take a dip in the pool, I wanted to share…

My Five Favourites for this week…

My Five Favourites

I watched the movie, Late Night, on my flight over to Koh Samui and I loved it! It’s one of those feel-good films. It tells the story of a legendary late-night talk show host whose show ratings are dropping as she ages, becomes less relevant and is accused of being a women-hater. Emma Thompson is great in the role and Mindy Kaling plays the new recruit hired as the token female in an all-male writing team. She works hard to prove that she is not just a diversity hire, but has something great to add to the team. I had some good laughs – worth a watch.

My Five Favourites

I’ve recently downloaded an app called Lumosity which “consists of science-based games designed to exercise memory, attention, speed, flexibility and problem-solving”. So this app is perfect to keep our brains active and help with possible memory issues.

My Five Favourites

I’m reading The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell while I’m away. This is a suspense novel and I’m struggling to tear myself away from it because it’s so exciting. I don’t want to say too much and give anything away, but if you’re looking for something to read, I’m loving this one.

My Five Favourites

I’m also loving the Instagram account called The Holistic Psychologist. Dr Nicole LePera’s bio reads “I teach you to heal + consciously create a new version of yourself”. She posts some brilliant lessons and reminders. Fascinating.

My Five Favourites

I’ve also discovered a podcast called Fat Lot of Good – a “funny podcast about bodies”. And I’m about to listen to the episode called Friendship, Middle-Age and Giving No F***s with The Midult. Let me know what you think.
