Bits and Bobs #8

Bits and Bobs

It’s Bits and Bobs time again. (How quickly are these weeks flying by? Next thing we know it’ll be Christmas!)

Hello! How are you?

Did you have a good week? I had a great week because after feeling like death warmed up last week, I feel much better now and in addition to that, I had a wonderfully restorative facial on Tuesday. Facials are a real treat, aren’t they? And they’re especially good when you need a bit of perking up.

I also met friends for lunch, not once, but twice this week. And I must say that if you’re feeling in a bit of a funk, setting up a few friend meet-ups will definitely improve your mood.

So, have you got anything exciting planned for the weekend? Or will you be resting and relaxing after a busy week? If you have some free time and want to read and watch something interesting…

…here are my Bits and Bobs for this week:

  1. Do you only have friends your own age? Read why having friends younger than you is a great idea.
  2. So it turns out that parents still lose sleep over their grown children. Find out how moms and dads worry differently and what you can do to feel less stressed about your grown-up children.
  3. On navigating the emotions of becoming an empty-nester.
  4. What if ageing wasn’t inevitable? Check out how some scientists are trying to slow down and even reverse ageing. And where they think we could be by 2050! (Video.)
  5. Maria Shriver interviewed Lisa Kudrow, Rita Wilson, Tina Lawson and Megan Mullally about life after 50 and how they feel about ageing. This video interview is worth watching because these women share very relatable experiences. And it had a very ‘feel-good’ vibe about it because let’s face it, middle-aged women are awesome!

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! I’m off to have a little glass of Prosecco to kick off the weekend. x
