The 3 things I tried and loved in February

February was short and busy but there were a few new things I tried and loved last month.

Floral Dress

This fully lined dress from Witchery fits really well and is very flattering. It’s a good length and has elbow-length sleeves which I appreciate. I also find the shirred waistline very comfortable and feel that it helps to pull in the waist area, resulting in a great look. It’s a good daytime dress, but I’ve also worn mine out at night.

4 things I tried and loved in January

Blue Striped Shirt

Tried and loved

When I was younger I didn’t wear shirts very often because I found them uncomfortable. But the slightly oversized shirt that is trending right now is a much better fit for me. And I’m loving them! They’re so versatile throughout the year and are an easy way to look “put together” very quickly. You can wear them unbuttoned over a vest tank or as a swimsuit cover-up during summer. And then you can use them as a layering piece with a jumper, jacket or coat during winter. It’s a fantastic capsule wardrobe piece. This striped one I got from Seed Heritage is a lovely colour and fabric.

Paula’s Choice 5% Niacinamide Body Serum

Things I tried and loved

I invest a lot of time and money in my facial skincare but tend to neglect my body when it comes to anything besides hydrating cream every now and then. So when I received this 5% Niacinamide Body Serum from Paula’s Choice (one of the free products I got during a deal when I reordered my Vitamin C moisturizer), I thought I’d give it a go. I haven’t been using it for long enough to see the promised benefits of an even skin tone or reducing signs of ageing, but I can say that it goes on very easily and smoothly. It takes a little while to absorb but I feel that’s worth it because I’m getting the benefits of niacinamide. (Niacinamide reduces inflammation, helps retain the moisture in your skin, treats hyperpigmentation, reduces fine lines and wrinkles and helps build and protect skin cells.)
