My five favourites – the December edition

My five favourites – the December edition

Hello friends. It’s ‘My five favourites’ time again. How are your holidays going?

I haven’t been around here much lately because we had quite a few family celebrations throughout December. We celebrated our eldest daughter completing her business degree, our other daughter’s 20th birthday, our 25th wedding anniversary and of course, Christmas. I also started exercising regularly again (in anticipation of all the eating I inevitably do during December).

It was a busy month! So I gave myself the grace to relax, be present and enjoy all the excitement.

But I wanted to pop in before the new year to share My five favourites for December, so here they are:

My Five Favourites

We’re still making our way through the old TV series called Bones, a crime drama based on forensic anthropology and archaeology. We’re now on Season 11 of 12!

And I finished Season 4 of The Crown. What did you think?

Next on my list is the period drama series, Bridgerton. Based on Julia Quinn’s bestselling novels, this series centres on the Bridgerton family in London’s high society. Have you watched this one yet? I’ve heard good things so I’m looking forward to it.

Book Recommendation

This month I’ve read two fabulous books (Left and middle, below). I’d highly recommend both of them. And I want to read Faithful Place by Tana French next.

My Five Favourites

My own! (Selfless plug.) I haven’t been blogging much lately, but I have been posting more regularly on my Instagram account. So if you want to see what I’ve been up to lately – head over there and follow along. Also, Pasta Grannies makes me smile.

My Five Favourites

My podcast pick for this month is from Smartless, and it’s the episode where Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett interview Reese Witherspoon. Lots of fun.

My Five Favourites

Discover black artists and purchase a beautiful art print.

I’ve been wanting to try baking my own batch of cinnamon rolls for so long now. Next year, definitely.

And that’s all for this month’s edition – I’ll be back with the January edition at the end of next month. Check the ‘Regulars’ dropdown menu for all of My five favourites posts, if you’re looking for more suggestions.
