Bits and Bobs #10

Bits and Bobs

Hi! It’s time for a Bits and Bobs post again.

You might have realised (or maybe not) that I didn’t publish a Bits and Bobs post last week? The reason was that I arrived back from my girls trip last Friday and had every intention of writing a post, but I didn’t anticipate feeling as tired as I did! I pretty much couldn’t keep my eyes open on Friday afternoon – even though I knew that I needed to push through. It was tough! (Princess problem, I know.) And as I mentioned in My Five Favourites post on Monday, I then spent a big chunk of my weekend watching the Rugby World Cup games that were on at some ridiculous hours here in New Zealand.

That exhaustion, I later realised, resulted in a very real brain fog that I felt very acutely at work on that Wednesday! Jet lag/brain fog – I was done for. And it shook me enough to make sure that I did my Lumosity exercises every day! Hahaha! I’m loving those games. (Some are definitely trickier than others, for me.) Have you tried them?

Anyway, I’m back today with a few good things for you. I hope you enjoy my Bits and Bobs for this week.

  1. 3 older women talk about what actually does get better with age. I particularly love what Jacqui, 59, had to say.
  2. Menopause and Hair Thinning Treatments. Can we do anything about hair thinning during menopause?
  3. An evolutionary look at post-menopause using some amazing cartoons. (A political post, but I thought I’d share it anyway because of the relevant content about middle-aged women and our evolution over recent times.)
  4. What to do when you feel lonely, according to a therapist. Some good recommendations here.

Happy reading! And I hope you all have a fun and relaxing weekend. Until next time. x
