I will be packing a lot more than these 10 essential beauty products for my summer holiday – for sure. But these are the ten that are game-changers for me.

SPF products
1. Paula’s Choice Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense Tinted Base SPF 30
This mineral-based SPF goes on easily and has a tinted base which is perfect when you don’t have the time or inclination for too many beauty steps. Nice and light, this product has great coverage that lasts. It’s a great option if you’re headed to the beach and won’t be putting on any makeup.
2. La Roche-Posay Antheolios Wet Skin SPF50+ Body Sunscreen
A good body SPF is also not negotiable. And this product doesn’t leave a white sheen, is easy to apply and works like a charm so it’s in my beach bag. Great for days at the beach when you’re in and out of the water. But be sure to reapply when necessary.
3. Ultra Violette Preen Screen SPF 50 Reapplication Mist
This is a new SPF product from Ultra Violette and I’ve bought a couple of these to throw in my bag for reapplication throughout the day. It’s a mist, making it easy to reapply while also keeping your skin hydrated. (Not only is it an SPF, but it also contains Niacinamide, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Bisabolol.) It settles on your skin, without shifting your makeup, leaving a lovely glow.

4. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
This is a cult product and for good reason. It hydrates, nourishes, exfoliates and protects all in one. Great to use as a leave-on mask or as a moisturiser, it helps to restore radiance and locks in moisture – which is perfect for travelling and spending time in a hot climate.
Makeup products
5. Vieve Skin Nova Instant Radiance Primer
Using a primer is especially necessary on a summer holiday because we all know that makeup can slide right off as you’re exploring out in the sun and heat. This primer gives me a warm glow and works well to keep my makeup in place for longer in hot weather. I seriously love the healthy glow I get when I use it.
6. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter
This is my go-to for a natural but put-together look. It evens out my skin tone beautifully without making me look like I’m even wearing makeup. An everyday choice I can’t do without on holiday.

7. Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand – Peachgasm
This product is another one that gives me a wonderfully warm, sun-kissed glow. It makes you look like you’ve spent a long day in the sun – but without the sun damage.
This lip oil is one of my favourite finds because it gives gloss vibes but without any stickiness. Perfect consistency, it goes on with ease and the shade I have (Unhooked) is perfect for summer.
Hair products
9. JVN Complete Hydrating Air Dry Hair Cream
Great for those days when you can’t be bothered to blow dry your hair, but still want your air-dried hair to look presentable. This cream defines my curls and replenishes the much-needed moisture that the sun takes from them.
10. JVN Complete Nourishing Hair Oil Shine Drops
Ooh, but if I do have time to blow dry my hair, I use these shine drops that leave it feeling ultra smooth. They smell so good too. And I love knowing that they’re nourishing my hair. Because it’s also important to look after your hair in the sun too.
