My Five Favourites for This Week

Five Favourites

So, ‘My Five Favourites’ is going to become a regular (weekly) feature over here on my blog from today. Why you may ask? Well, people often look for recommendations for what to read, listen to or watch next, who to follow, and which apps are worth downloading. So I thought it would be fun to start this regular weekly feature to share my favourite five recommendations broken down by entertainment source.

  • First up I’ve got Screen Selection which will include TV, movies and YouTube – so if I’ve seen a video/series or movie that is worth sharing, you’ll find that here.
  • Next is Awesome Apps which will cover phone apps that I have come across and think are noteworthy.
  • Then I’ve included Book Club which is pretty much my book recommendations section. Books that I love will be added here.
  • Then there is Insta Inspo where I will suggest an Instagram account you might find interesting.
  • And lastly, I have Podcast Picks where I will suggest any good podcasts that I have discovered and enjoyed.

I hope you’ll find these posts a good source of information for finding entertainment suggestions to enjoy your downtime even more.

So, here are my first Five Favourites:

I just finished watching Keeping Faith and I absolutely loved it! This British series showcases brilliant acting and has a captivating storyline that will keep you guessing right until the end. I can’t wait for Season 2. Here’s the trailer:

Sanity & Self is a self-care app with over 800 guided audio sessions dealing with anxiety, relationships, sleep, self-love and more.

Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb. I loved this thought-provoking novel about therapy.

Hand Luggage Only – a travel photo diary by Yaya and Lloyd. Follow these guys, they’re awesome. They visit the most amazing places, take sensational photos and reply to their comments.

The Daily – The New York Times podcast featuring the biggest stories, hosted by Michael Barbaro. I’ve learnt a lot from listening to this podcast.
