My five favourites – January edition

My Five Favourites

Hi there. Happy Friday!

Okay, so I’m really trying to find the right frequency for publishing My Five Favourites posts over here. Firstly I was publishing these posts every week, then every second week, and now I’ve decided to make this post a monthly event. I think this will fit best with the new ‘Simplify’ thing I’ve got going now. I think we could all do with being less busy and more mindful. What do you think?

I will add a few more suggestions in these monthly posts now because I might have come across more in the longer timeframe. So, kicking off the first monthly post, here are…

My Five Favourites for January

My Five Favourites

YOU is a psychological thriller that will keep you riveted. It might also give you nightmares, though. You’ve been warned. I know I’m late to this party, but in case you haven’t watched this series yet – it’s very well done – there’s a freshness about how they have looked at this situation, how they’ve portrayed the characters and how bad situations can actually unfold. And Season 2 is out now too.

Sometimes my husband gets to choose the movies we go to watch, and this time I didn’t mind because I really enjoyed this one – THE GENTLEMEN. Yes, there is a bit of violence, but there are lots of funny bits too and the acting is fantastic (so many big names). Definitely worth watching (if you haven’t already).

App Recommendations

Zomato provides its customers with a database of restaurants so that you can discover local eateries. You can view menus, photos and reviews of restaurants when you are looking for somewhere to eat, and can even make a reservation or order takeout from the app. Very handy.Book Recommendation

I’ve read these awesome books this month (aff links). And I’d pretty much recommend all of them.

Can we slow down the ageing process? Such an interesting podcast on goop. I definitely want to buy this guy’s book now.

I hope you find something you enjoy in My Five Favourites today! My Five Favourites will be back next month.
