Black Friday either makes you giddy with excitement or leaves you cold. On the one hand, it’s fantastic to get products at a reduced price, but on the other hand, it pushes consumerism and all the baggage that comes with that.
In my opinion, if you would have bought something anyway, then go ahead and take advantage of the sales. Otherwise, don’t be sucked in. Yes, I realise that’s easier said than done with all the Black Friday advertising and an inbox that’s suddenly overflowing with sale information. But if it doesn’t serve you, press delete and move away.
To buy or not to buy
There are a couple of items that I’ve been thinking about purchasing for a while now, but the full price is keeping me from doing so. So when Black Friday comes around, I’m definitely more tempted. But to be honest, sometimes I still don’t do it. (Top tip: be sure that the full price hasn’t been increased just before Black Friday, which would mean that there isn’t actually that much of a discount!)
Also, many people use this annual sale time to stock up on their favourite products at discounted prices. But again, this only makes sense if you’ve got the money to do so. (With or without the sale savings.)
My plan
I like to make a list of Christmas gifts I want to buy and try to make those purchases during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Then I feel as if I’m in control of the spending I would be doing anyway.
Anyhow, I thought I’d pop in and share these thoughts with you. (And a couple of great early access opportunities that I’ve come across. You know, just in case these items are on your predetermined list of things to buy.)
First up:
This is a seriously great deal. Radiofrequency is a great way to tighten the skin and boost collagen.
Black Friday Sale: 60% Off this TriPollar STOP.
And this fantastic deal:
Get up to 50% off Foreo products. I LOVE my Luna Cleansing Brush and now I’m eyeing this UFO 2. The “UFO™ features instant warming to infuse active mask ingredients deep below the surface of the skin, quick cooling to shrink pores & reduce puffiness, full-spectrum LED light to diminish signs of ageing & visibly revitalize skin, and our signature T-Sonic™massage to relax facial & neck muscle tension points while boosting skin’s radiance – for softer, smoother, selfie-ready skin.” All in one!
So, what’s on your list of things you want to look out for and buy on Black Friday? I’d love to know!
Also, look out for my Black Friday post coming out on the 26th – I’ll be listing lots of different beauty, fashion and home deals. Happy Black Friday prepping!
