7 versatile layering pieces that you’ll find useful for Autumn and Winter

Autumn Winter Style

There’s a nip in the air on some days in Auckland now, and I’ve been grabbing layering pieces like light cardigans or jackets more and more lately. Sadly, it’s almost time to wave goodbye to summer and bring out our winter coats and boots again.

So today I’m sharing a few layering pieces that I’m eyeing at the moment.

Leather Biker Jacket

Witchery

I love the colour of this leather. This is a great alternative to a black jacket and would be a fantastic addition to a capsule wardrobe.

Quilted Jacket

Zara

A lovely lightweight option for Autumn. Not too warm when worn over a t-shirt during Autumn. And then you could wear knitwear underneath it, going into winter.

Trench Coat

Trenery

A staple item for every wardrobe because it’s incredibly versatile and perfect for the transitional season as it’s not too warm or bulky.

Oversized Denim Jacket (now on sale!)

Witchery

You can’t go wrong with a denim jacket. And this washed grey colour is a welcome change to the blue version.

Quilted Jacket

Mango

I love a quilted jacket, so here’s another colour option. When your first layer piece doesn’t go well with one colour jacket, it’s great to be able to mix it up and try a different colour.

Oversized Cashmere Jumper

Cos

This is a very worthwhile piece to have in your wardrobe. It can be mixed and matched with many different items.

Relaxed Poplin Shirt

Arket

This is another capsule wardrobe staple and one of the easiest layering pieces to use when putting outfits together. Try this shirt sticking out under a jumper, with jeans, for a fun Autumn look.
