7 of my best places to buy affordable art online

affordable art online

Are you an art lover, but on a budget? Well, here are 7 of my best places to find beautiful and affordable art online.

I’ve been doing a few small ‘improvement’ jobs around our home lately. Piles of papers that needed to be filed, a bookshelf that needed reorganizing and a mat that needed to be replaced? Well, the time had come. And I know I’m not the only one who’s been doing this kind of home sprucing lately. Spending so much time at home has that effect, doesn’t it?

So after doing a fair amount of decluttering and rearranging at the start of our first quarantine, I then decided to tackle our artwork. Or maybe I should say, our shortage of artwork. We have got a couple of nice pieces, but I felt the need for a little update. Nothing flash, or wildly expensive. In fact, very affordable. So I got to work finding some nice art online. And I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. (Clicking on each picture will take you to the site.)

Affordable Art Online

1. Etsy – Vintage Originals and Prints

Etsy is a great source for both vintage originals and prints. Granted, it could take a few hours to scroll through all the different options on offer, but after a while, you discover which search words deliver your favourites.

2. Society 6

Society 6 has a large selection of framed and unframed art prints, wall hangings, posters and canvas prints.

3. Saachi Art

Saachi Art’s mission is to help art lovers discover and buy from the best-emerging artists from all around the world. They have a diverse range of art for a varying price range, with both originals and a limited array of prints.

4. Tappan Collective

Tappan showcases a curated selection of contemporary art from up-and-coming artists. Also, they have price filters that allow you to browse artwork that appeals to you and is in your price range.

5. Fine Little Day

This website features environmentally friendly products with high artistic quality. Their range includes everything from bed linen, kitchen and interior fabrics, posters and fashion, for children and adults. I bought two pieces from them during our quarantine because I love their artwork.

6. Artfinder

Artfinder has so many beautiful pieces of art under $500. I would say that this place has some of my favourite artwork online.

7. All Posters

All Posters has an enormous selection of posters and art prints (over 3 million images).

Conclusion

I’ve found four great pieces that I now want to get framed and up in time for the festive season. How about you? Are you an art lover or collector of art? Where do you find your best pieces?
