Continuing with the comfortable clothing theme I’ve got going on at the moment – I’ve got to say that I’m also pretty partial to tiered dresses for summer. There’s something about a loose, flowing dress that makes me so happy. How about you?
Okay, so these are the things that I look for in a dress – style, a good length, comfort, and sleeves. (And if you throw in pockets, I’ll be putty in your hands.)
So…Here are five beautiful dresses for summer that tick all of those boxes and they’re flowy, feminine and flattering. Heaven, in my opinion.
1. Christy Dawn – The Theo Dress in Rust
Christy Dawn is a sustainable and ethical brand (see their ethos here). This is slow fashion with a conscience. I also love that this company has price transparency and an explanation as to how they have come to the selling price of their garments.
Use discount code WELCOME to get 20% off your first order (valid on purchase over $100). And check out their sale items too.
2. Kemi Telford – Temitope Drawstring Tiered Dress
I discovered Yvonne Telford and her amazing brand, Kemi Telford a few months ago. And I now follow Yvonne on Instagram where I have witnessed her friendly personality shining brightly through her captions and comments, endearing her even more to everyone who comes across her.
Her brand is bright and bold and oh so comfortable. I’m wearing one of her dresses in this Instagram post. It’s called the Kate 2 dress, fits incredibly well and has pockets! (I’m 5’4 and wear a medium.)
This brand is also slow fashion, creating clothing that is made to last. In addition, you get what you pay for (quality fabric, a good fit and great design). Read about their values here.

3. Hush – Orla Jersey Midi Dress
Hush is another brand that produces ‘high-quality, versatile pieces that last’. You can read all about their sustainability goals here. I particularly like the look of this simple black dress because it’s a great classic for any wardrobe.
4. Mille – Victoria Dress in Clay
Here is another brand that I discovered very recently – and think is fabulous. I mean, how beautiful is this clay coloured maxi tiered dress? Mille is a female-owned brand that has a partnership with a small family-owned workshop in Jaipur India. (They also make some beautiful tops.)
5. Zara – Printed Midi Dress in Mid-Green
And I thought I would also include a more affordable dress in the mix. This one is from Zara. They have fantastic fashionable pieces at affordable prices. This dress also comes in red, black and leopard.
So, do you wear dresses? And if so, which style do you find yourself most drawn to?
